Answer:

Explanation:

Now e have two figures

1 is ABCD and other is APQD ,

Now to find g and f,

Now the are both figure is ,

Area = length * width

Area ABCD = 39 cm^2

AB* BC = 39

  • (g+7) * ( f) = 39

Again,

Area APQD = AP*QD= 16 cm ^2

  • (g)*(f)=16

from here f =16/g putt it in above equation we get ,

(g+7)*16/g = 39

16*g-39*g+96 =0

-23g +96 = 0

g = 96/23

g =3 cm

Now for f putt in one of the above equation ,

f =16/3

f =5.33 cm

Answer:

f = 3cm g = 6cm

Step-by-step explanation: to find f

Subtract the area of APQD from ABCD then divide by 7

f = (39 - 18)/7

f = 21/7

f = 3

To find g, divide the area of APQD by 3

18/3 = 6

We can do this because of the givens: ABCD is a rectangle, PQ is parallel to AD, so BC=AD=PQ
