Given:

Consider the equations are

3x+4y=7

4x+3y=9

To find:

The value of x-y.

Solution:

We have,

3x+4y=7 ...(i)

4x+3y=9 ...(ii)

Subtracting (i) from (ii), we get

4x+3y-(3x+4y)=9-7

4x+3y-3x-4y=2

(4x-3x)+(3y-4y)=2

x-y=2

Therefore, the value of x-y is 2.
