Mr. Simmons is buying peanuts by the pound. He buys 4 3/5 pounds of peanuts for $8.28.

How much will 5 3/5 pounds of peanuts cost?

The answer would be 10.08. Since you have to divide, 5/5 is 100/5 would be 20. 20= 1/5 40=2/5 60=3/5 80=4/5 and 100= 5/5 or 1. Now that you know that information, you would put it into the calculator 4 3/5 would be equal to 4.6 (.6 being the 60 as a percentage). Divide 4.6 by 8.28 and that would be the price for 1 pound which is $1.80 now that you know that, multiply by 5.6 (again .6 being the 60 as a percentage). Which equals $10.08 for 5.6 pounds of peanuts
