Here Base = 8 m , Hypotenuse = 10 m

As, we know that By Pythagoras theorem,

( Hypotenuse )² = ( Base )² + ( Perpendicular )²

⇒(10)² = (8)² + ( Perpendicular )²

Let the height of the tree = x

∴ we get

(10)² = (8)² + ( x )²

⇒100 = 64 + x²

⇒100 - 64 = x²

⇒36 = x²

⇒x = √36

⇒x = 6

∴ we get

Height of the tree = 6 meters.
