2.

Slope: m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

m = (8 - 0) / (6 - 2) = 8 / 4 = 2

The slope is 2.

1 and 3:

Using the slope, we have:

y = 2x + b

Plugging in the point (2,0), this becomes:

0 = 2(2)+b

0 = 4 + b

-4 = b

So now we have both the slope-intercept form:

y = 2x - 4

and the y-intercept (0,-4).

4: If x = 40, then y = 2(40) - 4 = 80 - 4 = 76

The missing value is 76.
