The slope of each segments are: Segment AB = 1/2; Segment BC = -3/2; Segment CD = 0; Segment DE = 2; Segment DE = -5/2.
What is slope?
Slope can be found between two points on a line using the formula below:
Slope (m) = change in y / change in x = vertical distance / horizontal distance.
Slope of Segment AB = change in y / change in x = 1/2
Slope of Segment BC = -6/4 = -3/2
Slope of Segment CD = 0 [horizontal lines have zero slope]
Slope of Segment DE = 4/2 = 2
Slope of Segment DE = -5/2
