Mono, bi, mono, mono, bi, tri, bi, and tri. All it’s asking is for you to count the different terms. In -9x it’s only one term but in x+6 is two because you can’t just combine x with out knowing it’s value. Hope that makes a little sense.

The classification of the polynomial is shown

monomial binomial trinomial

degree 1 -9x x + 6

degree 2 4x² 4x² - x x - 3x² + 1

degree 3 4x³ 5 - 2x³ 3x² + 3x³ - 10

What is monomial, binomial and trinomial
