one solution because

3x - 2 = 3x + 5

here you group like terms so the x’s will be grouped at one place and the numbers without variables will also be grouped at one place

so

3x -3x = 5+2

the 3x became negative because it crossed the equal to sign

so

3x-3x=5+2

0x=7

so x=7
