so we do 180 - 96 (angle y)=84

then:

angles in a triangle add up to 180

we do

84 (inside the triangle next to angle y) + 52 (angle z)= 136

180 (all angles in triangle) - 136 (angle y and z)=44

Now we know that the angle inside the triangle next to Angle x is 44

Angles on straight line =180

180-44= 136

angle x = 136
