Answer:

Total revenue = $13,250

Amount given for charity = $7,950

Explanation:

Children = $10

Adults = $25

Total people = 800

ratio of adults to children was 7:9.

Total ratio = 7 + 9 = 16

Adults = 7/16 × 800

= 0.4375 × 800

= 350

Adults = 350

Children = 9/16 × 800

= 0.5625 × 800

= 450

Children = 450

Total revenue = ($10 × 450) + ($25 × 350)

= $4,500 + $8,750

= $13,250

Total revenue = $13,250

60% of the tickets cost was given to charity.

Amount given for charity = 69% of $13,250

= 0.60 × $13,250

= $7,950

Amount given for charity = $7,950
