For a quadratic equation like this it is usually more easier to use the factorisation method so I'm sorry but I can't do the tables of x and y method

ax^(2) +bx+c

In factorisation, you find a number that multiplies to give c but also adds or subtracts to give b so in this example it would be:

x^(2) +2x+1=0

1: 1 × 1 = 1

So 1 times 1 gives 1 but then 1+1 gives 2 which is the correct match for this quadratic

(x+1)(x+1)=0

Now to solve it you take one bracket and you solve it using the 0

$x+1=0\\x= -1$

Because both the equations are the same the answer would be the same
