In the ancient land of Persia, there lived a man
named Habib. Habib raised figs to sell in the village,
and every year he planted a few more fig trees.
Over time, his grove grew too large for one man to
tend.

basket of figs to market, he thought, "Today I must
find a helper to share my work."

At the market, everyone was happy to see Habib,
for he was a kind man who never found fault with
anyone. "Do you know someone I can hire to work
for me?" he asked each customer. But no one knew
a worker who needed a job.
