One motorist travels 5 km.hr faster than another. They leave from the same place and travel in opposite directions. What is the rate of each if they are 195 km apart after 3 hours?

One is going 30 km/hr and one is 35 km/hr

Step by Step Solution:

So, 30x3= 90. The first went 90 miles in one direction
35x3=105. The second went 105 km/hr in the other direction.

105+90=195
