I believe the answer is D.

That’s because in radicals if there’s a square inside they square root that and put it on the outside. For example for √8, it would be 2√2, since the four can be square rooted, and there is still a 2 left inside the square root. For √48, there is a sixteen inside so you square root the 16 and get 4√3. Hope this helps
