A 12$ case of soda is labeled, "get a 20% discount

i.e 20% 0f cost of sode = 20% of 12


\begin{gathered} \text{ 20\% of 12=}(20*12)/(100) \\ \text{20\% of 12=}2.4 \end{gathered}

Discount Amount = $2.4

The sale of soda = Labelled price - Discount amount

The sale price of sode = 12 - 2.4

The sale price of sode = 9.6

Answer :

$9.6 is the sale price of soda,

$2.4 is the discount amount
