Generally, we have three quartiles.

These are the first quartile represented as Q1

Second quartile represented as Q2 which is also the median

Third quartile represented as Q3

To calculate the value of the quartiles, we need to rearrange the dataset in ascending order.

By rearranging , we have ;

2,5,6,8,10,11, 15,15,16,17,20,25

To calculate the first quartile Q1, we need to split the data into 4 different parts

Mathematically, the term which is the first quartile can be identified using the equation
