The cigarrettes have over 4.700 chemical substances and most of them are harmful or even poisonous, damaging your airways and the alveoli. The chemicals can affect our health in many ways, as they can damage DNA and make it harder for the cells to repair damaged DNA. Cancer usually is associated to a DNA damage, causing the damaged cell to replicate uncontrollably, creating a tumour. Therefore, damages in DNA structure can lead to a cancerous tumour.
