The brain is the control center of regulating body temperature. In humans, our temperature is nearly 37 degrees Celcius which is the setpoint, when our brain detects that our body temperature is above the set point -pertains to stimulus, the receptors which is usually a nerve, receive and transfer signal to the brain. Now, the brain (control center) activates the warming mechanism, and the effectors will respond by dilation of blood vessels, sweating of the person, and decreasing the metabolic rate. Finally, the body temperature lowers as a response to this process.
