Radius 1= 12

Radius 2=10

this figure is also known as a ring

the area of the ring is given by

`A=\pi r1^2-\pi r2^2`

this is just the difference of the area of the bigger circle less the smaller circle

then

`A=\pi(r1^2-r2^2)`
`A=\pi(12^2-10^2)`
`A=\pi(44)`
`A=44\pi=138.230`
