The values of the area of the green figures are

1. Area = 81 mm²

2. Area = 240ft²

3. Area = 151.25 in²

4. Area = 672in²

The scale factor is the ratio of corresponding lengths in similar figures.

It describes how much one figure must be resized to obtain the other, maintaining proportional relationships between their corresponding parts.

Scale factor = dimension of new length/dimension of old length

Area factor = (scale factor )²

1. scale factor = 18/10 = 1.8

area factor = 1.8)² = 3.24

area of green shape = 25 × 3.24 = 81 mm²

2. scale factor = 15/7.5 = 2

area factor = 2² = 4

area of green shape = 60 × 4 = 240ft²

3. scale factor = 15.4/28 = 0.55

area factor = 0.55² = 0.3025

area of green shape = 0.3025 × 500

= 151.25 in²

4. scale factor = 28/35 = 0.8

area factor = 0.8² = 0.64

area of green shape = 0.64 × 1050 = 672in²
