Use the Order of Operations/PEMDAS

Paranthesies
Exponents
Multiplication + Division (Do it left to right since they're equal)
Addition + Subtraction (Do it left to right since they're equal)

2 x 3 = 6, 6 x 6 = 36, 36 / 12 = 3
