Answer:

equation of the line is:

y = 1/2x - 7.6

Explanation:

the given co - ordinates are:

x1, y1 = 3.2, -6

x2, y2 = 5.2, -5

standard form for the equation of the line is:

y = mx + c

where:

slope, m = y2 - y1 / x2 - x1

= -5 + 6 / 5.2 - 3.2

= 1/2

let's take x1, y1 as x, y co - ordinate to find the value of constant, c:

-6 = 1/2(3.2) + c

-6 - 3.2/2 = c

c = -12 - 3.2 / 2 = -15.2/2 = -7.6

thus,

equation of the line is:

y = 1/2x - 7.6
