If 41 and 42 are vertical angles, <2 and <3 are complementary angles. and mL3 = 56°, find mL1.

Answer:

m∠2 = 90° - 56° = 34°.

So, m∠1 = m∠2 = 34°

Angle 1 & angle 2 are the same (vertical angle theorem), if angle 2 and 3 are complementary, then they add to 90 degrees. So....... if angle 3 is 56 degrees, then angle 2 is 34 degrees and so is angle 1.
