The area of a rectangle is given by the formula:

A=lw

Where

A is area

l is length

w is width

We find the expression for the area by multiplying the two "lengths" given:

\begin{gathered} A=2y(9y-4) \\ A=18y^2-8y \end{gathered}

The answer is:

A=18y^2-8y
