What is the solution to the system?

y = 4x + 20
8x - 2y = -20

Explanation:

When solving problems for systems of equation. You first want to make one of the equations equal to one variable on a side of the equation. In this case, we already have an equation that equals a variable on one side: y = 4x + 20.

you plug in that variable to the other equation

8x - 2(4x + 20) = -20

and then you just solve the equation from there.

8x - 8x + 20 = -20

but by just looking at this, there will be no solution because 8x-8x makes the variable x disappear and 20 does not equal -20.
