Find the HCF of the following ab² and a² b

1 Answer

Answer:
ab

Explanation:

HCF just stands for Highest/Greatest Common Factor. In order to find what it is, simplify each term into their components to find what the GCF/HCF is :

ab^2 = a*b*b

a^2b=a*a*b

Recognize that each term has both an
a and a
b and they are both multiplied terms. That is why you can conclude that
ab is the HCF.

That's it!
