What is an equation of the line that passes through the points (2, 2) and (-2, 8)?

Answer:

y = −1.5x + 5

Explanation:

x y

2 2

-2 8

From 2 to 8, we need to add 6 ( y section)

From 2 to -2, we need to subtract 4 (x section)

Now we need to do y/x

so...y/x = -6/4 = -3/2 = - 1.5

And thats how we find our slope.

To find the y-intercept I just used a graph in order to find it.....
