Explanation:

We know that: 1h = 60 minutes (Unitary method, considering quantities are linear)

Hence in 4h = 4*60 = 240 minutes, a car manufacturer produces 2400 cars.

We have to find, how many cars does the manufacturer produces in 15 minutes.

Hence we apply Unitary method:

In 240 minutes, a car manufacturer produces = 2400 cars

In 15 minutes, a car manufacturer produces:

(No. of cars in 4 h)*(Time taken)/Total time

  • 2400*15/240
  • 150 cars

Hence the car manufacturer produces 150 cars in 15 minutes.
