Describe the translation in g(x)=(x 10)−1 as it relates to the graph of the parent function.

Answer:

g(x) = (10x) - 1

That would be horizontal shrink bfo 1/10 and down 1.

Explanation:

Inside parenthesis is horizontal shrink or stretch. If it's horizontal then it will be affected by its reciprocal. If it is a fraction it's shrink. If it's a regular number, it will be stretch. Outside parenthesis is y-values. Because it's being subtracted by 1 it is down by 1 unit.
