The quadratic equation has this form:

a * x^(2)+ b * {x } + c\\

The quadratic formula is:

x_1 = \frac{ - b + \sqrt{ {b}^(2) - 4 * a * c } }{2* a} \\ \\x_2 = \frac{ - b - \sqrt{ {b}^(2) - 4 * a * c } }{2* a}

Now replace the coefficients of the equation in the formula:

x_1 = (-8 + √(64 - 4 * 4 * 3) )/(8) = \\ =(-8 + √(16) )/(8) = (-8 + 4)/(8) = -(1)/(2)

x_2 = (-8 - 4)/(8) = -(3)/(2)

Also I assumed that the equation is 4x²+8x+3=0 because you wrote 4x+8x+3=0. I hope this helped!
