x - 13 = 5(2x + 3) - 10 ← distribute and simplify right side

x - 13 = 10x + 15 - 10

x - 13 = 10x + 5 ( subtract 10x from both sides )

- 9x - 13 = 5 ( add 13 to both sides )

- 9x = 18 ( divide both sides by - 9 )

x = - 2
