A general method to find the surface area of any prism is to find the sum of the areas of the bases and the lateral faces of the prism. A prism has 2 bases and n lateral faces that depend on how many sides do the bases have.

SA=2A_b+n\cdot A_l

Where SA is surface area, Ab is area of the base, n is number of lateral faces and Al is area of the lateral faces.
