This is LATE. and I see you've already gotten an answer so if you've joined the lovely stray dogs fandom yay !! the manga is definitely better to read than the anime. I watched the anime first which wasn't bad but some scenes or details aren't animated sometimes. Also!!! the novels are amazing to read once you've finished the manga (and anime). They add a lot of more background story and details.
