Eukayortic cell are cells containing membrane bound organelles and are the basis for unicellular and multicellular organisms
In contrast prokaryotic cells do not have any membrane bound organelle and are all unicellular organisms

Prokaryotic cells differ from eukaryotic cells in that their genetic material is contained in a nucleoid rather than a membrane bound-nucleus
