Find the values of x and y when x = y.

0, 1 and 2

Explanation:

1) Find the possible values of x

  • -2, -1, 0, 1, 2,
  • 3 can not be an option because x is less than 3 not equal to.

2) Find the possible values of y

  • 0, 1, 2, 3, 4
  • -1 can not be an option because y is greater than -1 not equal to

3) See the numbers that are the same

  • As x = y then we have to see what numbers in both possibilities are the same
  • We can see the numbers 0, 1 and 2 in both x and y so that would be our answer
