Answer:

x = -3 \frac{ + }{} √(14)

Explanation:

6x - 5 = {-x}^(2)

{x}^(2) + 6x - 5 = 0

a = 1, b = 6, c= -5

x = \frac{ - b \frac{ + }{} \sqrt{(b) {}^(2) - 4(a)(c)} }{2(a)}

Substitute then solve

x = \frac{ - 6 \frac{ + }{} \sqrt{( 6) {}^(2) - 4(1)(-5) } }{2(1)}

x = \frac{-6 \frac{ + }{} √(36 + 20) }{2}

x = \frac{ -6 \frac{ + }{} √(56) }{2}

x = \frac{ -6 \frac{ + }{}2 √(14) }{2}

x = -3 \frac{ + }{} √(14)
