The structures that allow water vapor to escape the leaves of a plant are called stomata. These are small openings on the surface of leaves, stems, and other plant organs that exchange gases, such as carbon dioxide and oxygen, between the plant and the atmosphere.
They also allow water vapor to escape through transpiration, the process of water loss from the leaves.
