Explanation:

a) j(n) is a linear function since 5 is added everyday.

b) t(n) would be a quadratic function because the total amount of jumping jacks wouldn't have the same number that is beiung added.

day 1 = 5

day 2 = 15

day 3 = 30

day 4 = 50

day 5 = 75

This is showing that at first 10 jumping jacks are added but then for day 2 15 are added, for day 3 20 are added and so on.
