15*12*7=1,260

The smaller rectangle will have a length of 9ft. That's found by subtracting 15 from 24. The width will be 3ft. That's found from subtracting 9 from 12. The height is still 7. Multiple each together to find the second rectangle's volume of 189ft.

24-15=9

12-9=3

9*3*7=189

Add both volumes together and you have the volume of the whole space.

1,260+189=1449ft^3
