you probably believe that earth rotates at a rate of one revolution per day, but why do you have that belief? what evidence would you cite if you were trying to convince someone who did not agree?

Because a day is 24hrs 12 are during the day and 12 are during the night after that the process resets and a new revolution starts so the earth revolves once per day
