3 (2x - 4) = 3 (2x + 4)

Distribute:

(3)(2x)+(3)(-4)=(3)(2x)+(3)(4)

6x-12=6x+12

Subtract 6x from both sides:

6x-12-6x=6x+12-6x

-12=12

Add 12 to both sides:

-12+12=12+12

0=24 (false)

\fbox{No solution}
