Please give two examples of verbal irony in the book Hatchet. (Include the page where it was found too)

Answer: Example 1: On page 73, Brian says, "I'm so smart I can hardly stand it," in response to his realization that he can make a bow and arrow. This is an example of verbal irony because Brian is actually quite proud of himself, despite his sarcasm.

Example 2: On page 75, Brian says, "I'm an expert, now," after he successfully shoots a bird with his bow and arrow. This is another example of verbal irony because Brian is being sarcastic about his newfound expertise.
