Suppose you have a black male rabbit and a black female rabbit. Each has a dominant gene (F) for black fur and a recessive gene (f) for white fur. What do Mendel’s rules predict will happen when these two rabbits mate?

Answer:

According to Mendel's rules there will be a 25% chance for the offspring to be black fur with no recesive gene (FF) and there is a 25% chance for the offspring to be white (ff). There is also a 50% chance for the offspring to have black fur but be a carrier of white fur (Ff).
