Area = 530.7 m^2

Explanation:

The area of a circle is given by:

Area = pi•r^2



They said to use 3.14 for pi. Also given is the diameter, 26m. The radius is half the diameter. So the radius is 26/2, or 13m.

So the area is:

A = pi•r^2

= 3.14 • 13^2

= 3.14 • 169

= 530.66

They also said to round to the nearest tenth so 530.66 rounds to 530.7.



The area of the circle is 530.7m^2
