144 = (4 x 8) + (5 x 8) + B
144 = 32 + 40 + B
144 = 72 + B
144 - 72 = 72 - 72 + B
72 = B
72/8 = 9
He needs to buy 9 more packages from the store

lets add 4+5=9×8=72-144=72÷8=9 the electrician needs to buy 9 more packs of light bulbs
