Hi! So my class is starting Trinomials and I don’t understand it. We have to fill out this chart and I don’t know how. Can someone please help or explain it to make it easier. PLEASE HELP

You would find two numbers that when added would be the sum and when multiples it would equal teh given product. For example, q) is -4 and -5 since when added they equal -9 and when you multiple they become 20.

Answer: To factor a trinomial in the form x2 + bx + c, find two integers, r and s, whose product is c and whose sum is b. Rewrite the trinomial as x2 + rx + sx + c and then use grouping and the distributive property to factor the polynomial. The resulting factors will be (x + r) and (x + s).
