If you would like to find the product
(n + 8) * (n - 2)
, you can do this using the following steps:
(n + 8) * (n - 2) =
n * n - 2 * n + 8 * n - 8 * 2 =
n^2 + 6 * n - 16
The correct result would be
n^2 + 6 * n - 16
.
