If they at 9am and it took them 45 minutes each way that is 90 minutes plus 30 minutes and the 3 hours this will make 5 hours so 9am add five more hours it will be 2pm

I believe it would take them five hours total at the butterfly garden so they would get back at 1:00PM. I hope that is the correct answer!!!!
