f(x) = g(x)

f(x) = 3x + 12
g(x) = -9.5x -13

Since both are equal. then

3x + 12 = -9.5x - 13
3x + 9.5x = -13 - 12
12.5x = - 25
12.5x/12.5 = -25/12.5
x = -2

to check:
f(-2) = 3(-2) + 12 = -6 + 12 = 6
g(-2) = -9.5x - 13 = -9.5(-2) -13 = 19 - 13 = 6

f(x) = g(x)
f(-2) = g(-2)
6 = 6
