The Transcontinental Railroad was completed in 1869 when the Central Pacific Railroad and the Union Pacific Railroad met at Promontory Point, Utah. The correct option among all the options given in the question is option "A". The first transcontinental Railroad was complete on the 10th of May 1869. This railroad was built by three different private companies and they were Western Pacific Railroad Company, Central Pacific Railroad Company and Union Pacific Railroad Company. It was a combined job that was started in the year 1863.
